Calling all American Eskimo Owners

Northern Lights American Eskimo Dog Association is a member of the United Kennel Club(UKC).We are located mainly in Minnesota but do have members in other states.  We hold UKC shows two weekends each year in Hugo MN. This year our dates are May 17 & 18th 2025 as well as Sept 27 and 28, 2025. If you have never shown, we invite you to come watch and learn about showing and meet other American Eskimo dogs and owners. United Kennel Club shows are smaller than American Kennel Club shows and offer opportunities for owners to handle their own dogs and youth to start showing as young as 2-4 years of age.  Our goal is to promote the beautiful American Eskimo dog and to encourage responsible breeding and ownership.
Unfortunately our breed is becoming less and less prevalent. In 2023 less than 60 new American Eskimo puppies were registered in the United Kennel Club. To assure our breed continues and does not become extinct we need to continue to encourage new people to learn about responsible ownership and breeding practices.
Not all our members show American Eskimos but all of them love the breed and want it to continue.   The sport of dog showing needs people not only showing but behind the scenes as well.   We need members to help with set up, take down, selling food, helping at the ring tables (stewards).
If you have been a member and have not renewed please do so today. If you are new to Northern Lights AEDA and would like to become a member please go to our homepage and fill out a membership forms.  Memberships are as low as $10 for Seniors and only $20 for families.
